Incident In Milnrow: Man Injured in Sword Attack

On Thursday, April 10, at approximately 4:30 PM, a man was hospitalized after being slashed with a sword during a dispute on Crossgates Road in Milnrow, Rochdale.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the incident involved two men, one of whom suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing.

Greater Manchester Police reported that a man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of assault, and a police helicopter was deployed to the area following the event.

Witnesses observed armed police present on Crossgates Road, which was temporarily closed as investigations took place. A police spokesperson confirmed, "We were called shortly before 4:30 PM. A man was taken to hospital. A man in his 60s has been detained and remains in custody."
