Terrifying Robbery in Wythenshawe Home

A mother experienced a terrifying ordeal when two masked robbers broke into her Wythenshawe home, waking her with a loud bang. Upon rushing downstairs, she found David Tierney, 31, and Cameron Robinson, 25, both wearing balaclavas in her kitchen.

One of the robbers, Robinson, was armed with a knife, escalating her fear as she worried for her life. In a desperate plea, she informed them about her sleeping baby upstairs. The duo proceeded to ransack the house, seizing cash and her iPhone to prevent her from calling the police.

Fortunately, quick police intervention led to the swift arrest of both Tierney and Robinson as they tried to escape. They were later sentenced with Tierney receiving four years and four months, while Robinson was given six years.

Prior to this incident, Tierney had been caught breaching HMP Forest Bank with contraband including phones and drugs, linked to an operation called Dragonfire. This felony followed his February 14 intrusion into the victim’s home at around 5.30 am.

During their arrest, Robinson claimed his intent was not burglary but revenge on a drug dealer, and Tierney asserted a financial grievance against the homeowner's partner. The incident severely impacted the victim and her family, prompting them to relocate for safety.
